Suburb Ordering Options & Visibility
Beyond blocking specific dates, you can control whether a suburb is available for delivery at all, whether it appears as a selectable option to customers, and even fine-tune same-day ordering and day-of-week availability for that suburb.
What you can do here
- Control Website Availability - remove a suburb from your limited suburb drop-down list so it can`t be chosen at checkout
- Turn off same-day ordering for a suburb, or set a different (earlier) same-day cut off time just for that suburb
- Block delivery to a suburb on specific days of the week
Step by step
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Delivery Options > Delivery Suburbs / Postcodes
- Find the suburb you want to update
- To stop a suburb showing at checkout, use the Website Availability option - this removes it from the limited suburb drop-down list, so if you use Limited Suburbs, customers won`t be able to choose that location
- Under Ordering Options, mark the suburb as not available for same-day ordering if needed, or set an earlier same-day cut off time (this must be before your standard cut off time)
- Under Day of Week Blocked, tick the box for any day you don`t want this suburb to receive deliveries
- Save your changes
Tips
- If you no longer service a suburb, block or hide it rather than leaving it visible - customers selecting an area you can`t deliver to leads to cancelled or delayed orders
- Use a suburb-specific same-day cut off time when that area needs extra travel time or has a tighter courier run
- Day of Week Blocked is handy for suburbs you only service on certain days, like regional drop-off runs
Ask the assistant
You can also ask the assistant to make these changes for you instead of doing it manually:
- "Remove Northcote from the suburb drop-down list"
- "Turn off same-day ordering for Werribee"
- "Set the same-day cut off for Frankston to 10am"
- "Block deliveries to Sunbury on Sundays"
