Suburb SEO landing pages are individual pages on your website targeting search terms like "Windsor Florist" or "Flowers Delivered Hawthorn". Each page is optimised for one delivery suburb, helping your store appear in local search results for that area.
Step 1: Plan your suburbs
Start by listing every suburb you deliver to. Then use a keyword research tool like keywordtool.io to check search volume for phrases such as:
- [Suburb] Florist
- [Suburb] Flowers
- [Suburb] Flowers Delivered
Prioritise suburbs with higher search volume and the postcodes that generate the most orders in your dashboard.
Step 2: Create a page in Flower Store In a Box
Go to Marketing & SEO > SEO > SEO Landing Pages and create a new page. Fill in the following fields:
- City Name: used in the URL structure
- Suburb Name: appears on the page and in the URL
- Filename: optional, auto-converted to a URL slug if left blank
- Page Product Category: defaults to your homepage category unless you specify one
Step 3: Write the page content
Each page should follow this structure:
- H1 heading: include your target keyphrase, for example "Flowers Delivered to Windsor".
- Short intro paragraph: one or two sentences about flower delivery to that suburb. Keep it brief so products appear higher on the page.
- Patterned content block: a reusable section covering who you are, what you sell, why customers choose you, how you deliver, and where you deliver. Swap the suburb name in for each page. Aim for around six short paragraphs with headings. Include keyword variations such as "Windsor Florist" and "Florist Windsor".
- Unique suburb content: 300 to 500 words written specifically for that location. Cover nearby suburbs, local landmarks, history, sports teams, or notable residents. This must be original. Do not copy from other websites and avoid keyword stuffing.
Step 4: Set your meta title and de script ion
Use the SEO fields on the page to set:
- Meta title examples:
- Flowers Delivered [Suburb] | [Your Store Name] | [Phone]
- [Suburb] Flowers | [Your Store Name] | Same Day Delivery
- Meta de script ion example: Flowers to [Suburb] delivered same day if ordered by 1pm. Call [phone].
Place your target keyphrase in this order of priority: meta title first, then meta de script ion, then the H1 heading, then content headings.
Step 5: Link to your new pages
Search engines discover pages through links. Once your pages are live:
- Add them to your Delivery Information page
- Include them in your main navigation menu
- Use the dynamic suburb list widget if available, which links to pages automatically
Content tips
- Write all content originally. Never duplicate the same text across pages.
- AI tools can help draft content, but always edit and personalise the result.
- Be accurate. Only claim same-day delivery if you actually offer it for that suburb.
- A phrase like "We prepare fresh flowers from our store at [address]" is more trustworthy than vague claims.
How long before results show?
New pages on an established site typically need 4 to 12 weeks to gain traction in search results. Stronger results generally appear over 3 to 6 months. Build pages consistently rather than all at once.
