You can offer free delivery by creating a discount coupon and tagging it as a free delivery coupon. When a customer enters the code at checkout, the order summary displays "Free Delivery" instead of a delivery charge.
How it works
Instead of setting a percentage or fixed dollar amount off, you tag the coupon specifically as a free delivery coupon. The delivery cost is waived when the customer applies the code.
Create a free delivery coupon
- Log in to your store admin.
- Go to the coupons section.
- Create a new coupon.
- Set the coupon type to Free Delivery rather than a percentage or amount discount.
- Set any other options such as expiry date or usage limits.
- Save the coupon.
How customers use it
- The customer adds items to their cart.
- They enter the coupon code in the shopping cart or at checkout.
- The order summary updates to show Free Delivery.
Other free delivery options
Coupons are one of several ways to offer free delivery. The other options are:
- Zero-cost delivery location - Set the delivery cost to zero for specific suburbs or postcodes. This still allows same-day cut-off times and delivery area limits.
- Free delivery for a product - Apply free delivery to a specific product with a valid date range.
- Free delivery for a product category - Apply free delivery to all products in a category with a valid date range.
