Inventory tracking keeps a running stock count for a product and automatically takes it out of stock when you run out so you never sell something you don`t have.
What you can do here
- Turn on inventory tracking for individual products
- Set the current stock count
- Have the product automatically go out of stock once inventory hits zero
- See a low-stock list before you completely run out
Step by step
- Via the Dashboard:
- Go to Dashboard > Products.
- Open the product you want to track stock for.
- Tick Use Inventory.
- Enter the current stock quantity.
- Save the product each sale will now reduce the count automatically.
- Via the website:
- Navigate to the product on your website.
- Click the red Edit Product button.
- On the product page, tick Use Inventory.
- Enter the current stock quantity and save.
Tips
- Only turn on inventory tracking for products where you have a genuinely fixed quantity (e.g. a limited run), not for standard bouquets you make to order.
- Check your low-stock list regularly so you can restock or update quantities before you sell out.
- Remember to update the count if stock changes outside the website (e.g. sold in-store).
