Putting a product on sale lets you run promotions and clear seasonal stock, with the discount showing clearly on the product page to catch customers` attention.
What you can do here
- Mark a product as "on sale"
- Set a sale price alongside the regular price
- Set an expiry date so the sale price automatically ends
Step by step
- Go to Dashboard > Products.
- Open the product you want to put on sale.
- Tick Product is on Sale.
- Enter the sale price.
- Set a sale expiry date if you only want the discount to run for a limited time.
- Save the product the sale price now shows on the live site.
Tips
- Always set an expiry date for time-limited promotions so you don`t forget to remove the discount later.
- A visible "was/now" price is one of the strongest conversion triggers use it for slow-moving stock or seasonal pushes.
- Double-check the sale price is actually lower than the regular price before saving.
