Credit notes add a dollar amount directly to a customer's account. Unlike discount coupons, a credit note is a one-off credit. Once redeemed, it does not apply again on future orders.
Create a credit note
- Go to the Marketing menu and select Redeemable Credit Notes.
- Click the Add Automated Credit Note button.
- Fill in the details:
- ID: The code customers will enter. Keep it short and easy to type.
- Date range: Set the start and end dates for when the credit note is active.
- Credit amount: The dollar value that will be added to the customer's account.
- Save the credit note.
How customers redeem a credit note
There are two redemption flows depending on whether the customer already has an account.
- New customers: They see a coupon and sign-up screen. When they register, the credit is added to their account automatically.
- Existing customers: They enter the code in a form while logged in and the credit is added to their account immediately.
Ways to promote your credit note
- Share a redemption link in social media posts.
- Add a pop-up to your website with the redemption link.
- Print the code on a card and include it with flower deliveries.
- Run a limited-time offer by setting a short date range and monitoring redemptions manually.
