Setup & Manage Afterpay

Afterpay lets customers split the cost of their order into instalments, paying nothing extra as long as they pay on time. Offering it at checkout can help lift your average order value.

What you can do here

  • Connect your Afterpay Merchant ID and Merchant Key to your website.
  • Set minimum and maximum order values eligible for Afterpay.
  • Switch between sandbox (testing) and production (live) modes.

Step by step

  1. Go to Settings > Payment Options  > Afterpay in your dashboard.
  2. Tick Use Afterpay to enable it as a payment option.
  3. Enter your Afterpay Merchant ID and Merchant Key, found in your Afterpay merchant portal.
  4. Set the minimum and maximum order amounts Afterpay will be offered for.
  5. Choose sandbox while testing, then switch to production when you`re ready to go live.
  6. Save your settings.

Tips

  • Always test in sandbox mode first switching to production too early can cause failed live transactions.
  • Afterpay has its own minimum and maximum order limits, so check their current terms match what you`ve set here.
  • See the Afterpay Marketing Changes article for using Afterpay`s promotional badges and messaging on your site.
