Bloomkeeper

Tracking Your Google Rankings

Bloomkeeper tracks where your shop appears in Google for the searches that actually bring florist orders, and reports it in plain English rather than a spreadsheet.

Seeing your rankings

Open Google Rankings, or just ask "where am I ranking". You get where you appear now, which searches are improving, which are slipping, and where the best opportunities are.

What it watches

The searches worth watching for a florist are local and specific: flower delivery plus a suburb, florist plus a suburb, same-day flowers plus a suburb. Bloomkeeper builds this list from your real delivery areas and keeps it under Ranking watch.

It deliberately does not track vanity searches. Ranking first for your own shop name proves nothing, because the people searching it have already found you.

Reading it sensibly

Rankings move on their own, day to day, without anything being wrong. What matters is the direction over weeks, not the number this morning.

Google also shows different results to different people depending on where they are standing, so your own search on your own phone is not a fair test. The tracked position is measured consistently, which is why it is worth more than what you see yourself.

How long changes take

A new suburb page will not rank the week it goes live. Several weeks to a few months is normal. This is why Bloomkeeper works steadily rather than in one burst, and why the trend matters more than any single check.
