Adding & Managing Section Templates
Section templates (also called page layouts) let you build a piece of content once and reuse it across multiple web pages. Update the template and every page using it updates automatically, saving you from editing the same thing over and over.
What you can do here
- Create reusable content blocks, like a seasonal banner or delivery info section
- Use the same layout across as many web pages as you like
- Edit a layout once and have the change apply everywhere it`s used
- Keep your site consistent without repeating the same setup work
Step by step
- Go to Design Dashboard > Page Layouts
- Click Add Page Layout
- Give it a clear, memorable name and add your content code
- Save
- To add it to a page, open the web page you want it on under Dashboard > My Website > My Web Pages and embed the layout into the page content
Tips
- Choose names that make sense at a glance, especially if you`ll have several layouts on the go
- Be cautious editing a layout that`s used on many pages, since the change applies everywhere at once
- Check a page after saving changes to make sure everything looks right
