Gift Voucher SMS Notifications
Let customers who receive a gift voucher know about it straight away with an SMS. You can set up the notification once and use placeholders to personalise each message automatically.
What you can do here
- Turn on SMS notifications for gift vouchers
- Personalise the message with the recipient`s name, sender`s name, voucher amount and code
- Include the custom message the sender wrote when they bought the voucher
- Make sure recipients are notified the moment a voucher is sent to them
Step by step
- Go to Marketing and SEO > Marketing tools
- Select Gift vouchers
- Find Gift Voucher Notifications
- Turn on Allow SMS Notification
- Add your placeholders to the message so it`s personalised for each recipient:
- ToName - inserts the recipient`s name
- InsertAmount - displays the voucher amount
- FromName - displays the sender`s name
- GiftCardCode - includes the voucher code
- CustomMessage - includes the message written by the sender
- Save your changes
Tips
- Keep the message short and friendly so it reads well as a text
- Double check your placeholders are spelled correctly so they fill in properly
- Test it yourself by sending a voucher to your own mobile number first
- Remember the CustomMessage placeholder pulls through whatever the sender typed, so let them know there`s a character limit if you have one
