Manual Orders

Overwriting the Delivery Cost

Your standard delivery rates won`t always fit a customer might get a discount, a delivery might be further out than your postcode rules account for, or you might simply want to waive the fee. This is how you adjust the delivery cost on a manual order.

What you can do here

  • Override the automatically calculated delivery cost on a manual order
  • Waive delivery entirely for a customer, occasion, or promotion
  • Charge more than the standard rate for a difficult or after-hours delivery

Step by step

  1. Go to Manual Order in your dashboard and build the order as normal.
  2. When you reach the delivery cost field, it will show the amount calculated from your postcode or zone settings.
  3. Click into the field and type the amount you want to charge instead.
  4. Finish the order and take payment the customer is charged the amount you entered, not the standard rate.

Tips

  • Overwriting the cost only affects this one order your standard delivery rates are unchanged for every other order.
  • If you`re regularly adjusting the cost for the same postcode or suburb, it may be worth reviewing your delivery zone settings instead.
