Most walk-in and counter sales are paid for on the spot, either with cash or a card tapped through your EFTPOS terminal. This is how you record that payment against a manual order so your takings and order records line up.
What you can do here
- Record a cash or card payment taken in person for a manual order
- Mark the order as paid straight away, ready for fulfilment

Step by step
- Go to Manual Order in your dashboard, or use your POS if you`re serving a customer at the counter.
- Add the customer, products, and delivery or pickup details.
- At payment, choose Pay In-Store and select cash or card.
- Take the payment on your EFTPOS terminal or in cash as normal.
- Save the order is marked paid and moves into your normal order queue.
Tips
- Always match the payment type you select to what actually happened at the counter it keeps your daily takings report accurate.
- For repeat walk-in customers, save their details as a customer record so future orders are faster to enter.
