Swap Labels and Fields for Each Building Type
Different building types often need different address details - an apartment needs a unit number, a business might need a company name or reception contact, a hospital might need a ward name. Swapping labels and fields to match the building type means you collect exactly what your driver needs to get the delivery to the right place.
What you can do here
- Turn on smart labels and fields that change based on the building type the customer selects
- Make sure apartments, businesses, hospitals and other locations each ask for the right details
- Reduce failed or delayed deliveries caused by missing information
Step by step
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Checkout Settings > Checkout Options.
- Find the option called Swap Labels for Building Type.
- Turn this option on.
- Check your checkout to confirm the labels and fields now change depending on the building type selected.
Tips
- Enabling this setting means your driver has exactly the detail they need to reach the recipient once they arrive at the location.
- Review the field labels for each building type occasionally to make sure they still make sense for your delivery area.
- If you add new building types later, check they have sensible labels too.
Ask the assistant
You can also ask the assistant to help you turn this on or check your settings, for example:
- "Turn on Swap Labels for Building Type at checkout"
- "Is Swap Labels for Building Type enabled right now?"
- "Take me to checkout options so I can review building type fields"
