Activating Building Types
Building Types let you add surcharges based on where an order is being delivered, like a house, business, school or hospital. Here`s how to turn this on and set it up.
What you can do here
- Turn on Building Type so customers can select where they`re sending flowers to at checkout
- Set a surcharge amount for each building type, such as House, Business, or any others you`ve added
- Swap Labels for Building Type so checkout wording changes to match the delivery location, like School or Hospital
Step by step
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Checkout Settings
- Look for Building Type and turn it on
- If you`d like the checkout wording to change depending on the building type selected, turn on Swap Labels for Building Type as well
- Save your changes
Tips
- Turning on Swap Labels is optional, it`s there if you want checkout wording to feel more specific, like School or Hospital instead of just Business
- Once active, customers select their building type as part of entering their delivery address, and any surcharge is added automatically to their delivery fee
