Flower Store in a box gives you the ability to create gift voucher products to sell on your site. You can choose to offer custom-entered amounts, or select from 8 pre-set price points. You can also upload a custom image and add custom text to your voucher. You do not sell multiple different gift vouchers, instead you either allow the customer to choose their amount or you choose amounts they can purchase.
When someone purchases a voucher, they can choose to have it sent to the recipient via SMS or email. The checkout process is streamlined, so the customer only has to enter their billing information and the recipient`s contact information and then pay.
And, for added convenience, the customer can even pre-order the voucher for a specific date. They can choose when they want the voucher to be sent, making it perfect for special occasions like birthdays.
There are several steps in setting up the voucher to make it active for your website.
The first step is to choose a product image for the gift voucher. This can be a picture of your logo, a picture of flowers or something you have designed with the words Gift Voucher.
Don’t however put an amount in the gift voucher image but do include your website address and maybe phone number as well.
Depending on the email template you choose to use there are optiosn for two images, the first is a custom banner image and the second is an “icon” for the gift voucher (this is most commonly the product image).
The gift voucher will have several components that you will need to write.
In your dashboard, you need to activate the gift voucher feature to work on your website. Go to:
Marketing & SEO >> Marketing Tools >> Gift Vouchers
Check the box “Use Gift Vouchers”
Unlike a “normal” product that can be managed through the Catalogue, the gift voucher content is managed in one specific place. The gift voucher page layout has been pre-defined
You have the option to add a custom name for the gift voucher such as:
Your Name Gift Voucher
Enter this in the Heading One field
The meta title and meta description are the same for any page of your site.
The page content is important as it will define the important information about the gift voucher. You should include any specific terms and conditions of the gift vouchers use, expiry date and how to redeem the voucher.
The standard link to the gift voucher is:

however you can have an easier link such as:
https://domainname.com.au/voucher/
if you do have a simpler link you will need to add this to the “canonical” field in the form and then ask support to set this up for you.
To redeem a voucher the link will be:
https://domainname.com.au/cgi-bin/cart/marketing.cgi
Select how many years the customer has to activate the gift voucher. Once activated the account is credited with this amount in perpetuity until the credit has been exhausted.
Generally an acceptable amount of time is between 2 – 4 years.
You have the option to allow the customer to enter a custom amount for the gift voucher or add up to 8 different prices the customer can choose.
You cannot have both options.
You should set a minimum and maximum value the voucher can be purchased if you have a custom amount.
The minimum value should be more than your minimum shopping cart spend with delivery.
It’s a good idea to limit the upper amount of a gift voucher and an upper limit of $200 is a good idea.
The voucher can be sent to the recipient by email or SMS. If the customer chooses for the voucher to be sent the same day it will be sent immediately. If the customer chooses a future delivery date, it will be sent after 7am on that date.
The email is free to send, and you can customize the template, images and content.
The SMS costs 10 cents per 160 characters to send.
The main reason to use an SMS notification instead of email is the higher level of deliverability and less likely to get caught in spam or junk mail folders. However, the customer will get the email regardless!
Use the following tags to customize the SMS, there is a default message in the form that you can use.
ToName,

CustomMessage
There are several pre-design email templates you can use along with predesigned colour schemes including any custom colours you have created for emails. Please make sure you have edited your business details and added your logo in the main settings of your website dashboard.
Click the checkbox to show the custom email settings. From here you can edit the following:
Marketing Messages
Email content
Email subject
Banner
Product image
Save the details and then click the button “View Email Template” to view the custom settings and template you have chosen. You can continue editing and viewing the template until you are happy with it!
You can check to see in the voucher code has been redeemed on the site and credit added. You can do this by visiting the gift voucher page in your dashboard:

In the top right-hand corner click the button “Reports”
In the top search bar enter the code in the code field and press search, you will be able to see the details of the code.
You can cancel a gift voucher but there are a couple of steps in the process.
Start by checking to see in the voucher code has been redeemed on the site and credit added. You can do this by visiting the gift voucher page in your dashboard:

In the top right hand corner click the button “Reports”
In the top search bar enter the code in the code field and press search, you will be able to see the details of the code.
If the code has not been redeemed you can search for the code and then delete it here:
Marketing & SEO >> Marketing Tools >> Redeemable Credit Notes
If the code has been redeemed, click the name of the person who redeemed the code to view their customer profile. You can then delete the credit note in the left side menu.
Sending the gift voucher again
To send the gift voucher again search for the order under:
My Orders >> View Pending
Click the status button for the order and choose, “Resend Gift Voucher” and “View Gift Voucher”.
Choose “Resend Gift Voucher”.
Viewing the gift voucher
To view the gift voucher search for the order under:
My Orders >> View Pending
Click the status button for the order and choose “Voucher Options”. You will then be shown two options, “Resend Gift Voucher” and “View Gift Voucher”.
Choose “View Gift Voucher”.
You can generate gift voucher reports here:

You can then run reports on status and date of vouchers!
